First of all—before I even begin I want to say…I can’t WAIT until next year!
I was absolutely BLOWN away by this past Thursday…first of all, if you volunteered at this event—THANK YOU! People literally came from all over the world to ANDERSON, SC…and the ONE THING we are continually hearing is how blown away everyone was with the level of passion and excitement demonstrated by you guys. We could not have done it without you…JUST LIKE we could not do each and every Sunday without you.
To the staff…let me just say that it is a pleasure to serve along side of you guys…and we are going to continue to do all we can to make the name of Jesus Christ famous all over the world. Unleash was awesome…but honestly guys, I’m more excited about this coming weekend—Easter is going to be off the chain and I know each and every one of you is going to bring your “A-game,” just like you do each and every week.
To those who attended—we are honored and humbled that you would take a day and come to hang out with us here at NewSpring Church. Thank you…and I mean that! Here at NewSpring Church we have a sincere passion to reach the world for Christ…and, as a part of that passion we want to do all that we can do to equip and encourage church leaders…so, keep us in your prayers as we are already discussing how to make next years event even better.
Two things about the day overwhelmed me personally…
The first was watching Lee lead worship and do two of his original songs that are on his CD…and the crowd totally was engaged. I am so proud of him. I’ve seen him faithfully serve the Lord for eight years and now I am getting a front row seat to watch how God is using him to influence worship music in a positive way!
The second was to see the crowds of people gather around their senior pastors at the end of the second session and pray for and encourage them. It was seriously one of the most powerful moments I’ve ever experienced in my nearly two decades of ministry. I have a HUGE HEART for pastors…and to see them be ministered to was incredible. (When my staff gathered around to pray for me…I lost it, wow!)
