Three Elements Needed For Effective Church Leadership

May 3, 2017

I've met some incredible leaders--and there are three qualities every one of them seems to share.

#1 - Creating Culture

Culture is either what we create or what we allow—period.  If we are not intentional in creating a dynamic culture, then our culture will, by default, sink to the lowest common denominator.

An incredible example of this is Chic-fil-A, yes, they have good food, but they have an AMAZING culture.  The employees are always dressed neatly, smile and say “my pleasure” when someone says “thank you” to them.  One thing to keep in mind, however, is that this culture did not develop accidentally, nor did it take place overnight.  It took years and years of intentional development.

And if Chic-fi-A can do it with chicken, we should be able to do it with church!

#2 - Casting Vision

The church should not be a place that focuses on history but rather calls out the destiny!

Church leaders should be the biggest vision casters on the planet.  Unfortunately we allow leaders like Elon Musk and Richard Branson dream bigger dreams that we do, and while their ambitions for space travel are remarkable - our vision to change the world with the Gospel should be WAY MORE COMPELLING!

People are not moved by small dreams (or no dreams at all!)  Church leaders should dare to believe for the “impossible” because we have a God who is able to do immeasurably more than all we could ever ask for or imagine!

#3 - Personal Leadership Development

Years ago I hit a wall in my exercise and diet regimen.  I tried nearly everything I knew how to do and just felt “stuck” for weeks…
…until I decided to make the investment and hire a personal fitness coach.

To say he kicked butt would be an understatement; however, because of my willingness to invest time and money into an area in which I was stuck - I literally had a breakthrough in my personal fitness in which I would not have experienced had I chosen to continue the same unproductive patterns I was caught up in.

The same thing can be said about our leadership development.  If we are not willing to invest time and money into growing as a leader, then we will eventually hit a wall (and so will everything we lead.)  The stakes are sky high when it comes to leadership - and an investment into our leadership development will ultimately benefit everything and everyone we lead.

I have a passion to help leaders with these three things (plus a lot more) which is why I am releasing a series of coaching videos on Tuesday, May 9 at www.iwantmychurchtogrow.com

These videos are designed to help you increase your confidence, sharpen you as a leader and help you to create a culture that casts compelling vision.

The cost of these videos will be $199 - which includes over 20 videos, downloadable PDF's and will be a incredible way for you to develop yourself and your team.

I honestly believe this is one of the best resources I've ever been a part of developing for church leaders - and I know you will grow as a result of making this investment.
