Sunday Night Reflections

Feb 1, 2009

Here are a few thoughts before I am off to pack some more…and then head to bed…

  • We launched our web campus today…over 300 people attended church from countries such as Italy, Brazil, India and Kentucky!  :-)
  • People received Christ today…THAT NEVER GETS OLD!
  • We begin a brand new series next week entitled iwantanewmarriage.com  (Fox news did a story on our billboards, you can go here to check it out if you would like.)
  • Hearing HUNDREDS of pieces of paper rip was one of the most powerful things I’ve ever experienced in ministry—EVER!
  • Are you willing to do WHATEVER it takes to take one step closer to Jesus?
  • Jesus didn’t die on the cross so we could be comfortable…but rather so we would be COMMITTED!
  • Jesus took away the option of loving Him and NOT loving others with Matthew 22:37-40.  (Matthew 6:14-15 is also pretty hard hitting!)
  • For us to claim we received the grace of God and then refuse to extend it is the ultimate form of arrogance.
  • Sharing communion together as a church is ALWAYS special to me…and I think it meant a lot to everyone who was at church today!
  • I used to try to run away from tension in a message…now I pray and strive for it!
  • Jesus pursued us when we wronged Him (Romans 5:8)...we should pursue those who have wronged us in order to make things right.
  • If you are the lady who emailed me who is committing adultery, wanting me to approve of you sin…I don’t, Jesus doesn’t and you need to freakin’ stop it!
  • Don’t forget—for those who want to come to the Anderson campus at 9:30 tomorrow we are going to have a prayer time for the team leaving for Kenya.
  • Not going to be able to go for a run in Kenya…which is sad because the Kenyans win all the marathons…MAYBE they could have helped me.  :-)
  • I will be in Kenya next Sunday…but I will also be at NewSpring…and I think it is going to be one of those days that people don’t forget!
  • Are you registered for Unleash?  Seriously!  You need to be!
  • Going to be on planes and in airports tomorrow for about 20-22 hours…praying I don’t go insane!  (Maybe I can run ON the plane!)
  • Planning on going to Outback when I get back from Kenya…I will be craving a filet!  (OR…maybe Cracker Barrel!)

That’s it…good night!
