Is The Best REALLY Yet To Come?

Within the past year, a friend who I really respect pulled me aside and tried his best to “rebuke” me by telling me that I “over-hype” what is happening on the upcoming Sunday at NewSpring Church. 

In closing he essentially said to me, “Perry, every Sunday cannot be epic. Seriously, you don’t really believe that every Sunday is going to be the best Sunday ever, do you?” 

Actually I do! 

I happen to be a pastor that REALLY is excited about the church I serve…and have been that way since the day we began. 

I believe that every Sunday is a potential opportunity for one more person to have an encounter with Jesus Christ – which makes that Sunday a GREAT DAY! 

I believe that it's only “hype” if you say something is good—but in your heart you don’t really believe it. 

I believe that we have not yet done our best ministry at NewSpring Church! 

I believe that THE BEST is yet to come. 

And, I believe it is essential for leaders in the church to be the type of leader that is genuinely excited about the ministry they are leading. As I’ve said before, if you are not excited about leading in your church, then satan is excited about you leading in your church. 

For too long the church has valued and esteemed people with critical, negative, pessimistic attitudes—which the world needs NONE of! 

People need hope! 

The resurrection screams that our lives are not hopeless. 

And I believe when people discover that Jesus is alive that the potential for changed lives across the globe increases exponentially. 

With that being said, I’m EXCITED about this Sunday at NewSpring Church. I believe that “I Love My Church” is the BEST series we’ve ever done. And…this Sunday is going to be the BEST week of the entire series. I can’t wait!!!
