How To Overcome The Guilt Of Carrying Too Much Weight!
Pause - I don't mean this from a spiritual standpoint (although that is something I am learning to deal with) - but rather a physical standpoint.
Every year - I mean EVERY year at Christmas I absolutely obliterate as much food as possible, and this year was no exception...
...my Christmas Eve meal was brisket, shrimp & grits, mac & cheese, coleslaw just to name a few items, and...
...when it came time for dessert there were four options - sweet potato cake, chocolate pie, coconut pie and creme brulee...
...so I thought, "why pick just one when you can have all four?" And so - I indulged.
After my all out pursuit of gluttony was over I felt satisfied...for about 10 minutes...
...and then I started feeling full, I mean really full...
...and then my body became very angry with me, and it literally felt like there was sin in my stomach!
I had obviously eaten too much, and...I absolutely took a detour away from eating clean...and as a result I really did feel guilty, I mean incredibly guilty!
Feeling that way caused me to reflect back on when I used to eat like that nearly every single meal, and the guilt I always experienced after eating too much.
I knew I was allowing food to dominate my life.
I knew I was overeating.
I knew I needed to STOP!
I just didn't think I could (more accurately, I didn't actually want too.)
Until - one day I simply got sick & tired of being sick & tired - and decided to do something about it.
And, after quite a season of figuring out what did and did not work, adjusting the way I ate, figuring out the best method of working out/fitness and committing to this new lifestyle for the long haul - I am now in the best shape of my entire life.
I don't say this to point to myself as some sort of weight loss hero - but rather to tell you that IF I CAN DO IT...YOU CAN TOO!
You CAN win with weight!
You CAN transform your body!
You CAN get in great shape!
You CAN have more energy than you've ever had in your life (no matter your age!)
You CAN begin eating right (without having to commit to a diet of tree bark and asparagus for the rest of your life!)

Becoming healthy isn't merely a program, it's a process of making the right decision each and every day.
