Five Things I Want To Share With Everyone At NewSpring

Oct 21, 2013

#1 - Yesterday was an AMAZING opening to our "You Asked For It" series with nearly 30,000 people attending one of our eight campuses across the state (not including online attendance.)  AND...FOUR PEOPLE RECEIVED CHRIST!!!  That never gets old!

#2 - We implemented our new service times at every campus yesterday.  A huge "THANK YOU" to every volunteer that worked so hard to make this possible (we had load in volunteers at some of our portable campuses arriving at 3:00am to get things started!)

#3 - Because of our new service times and structure at every campus--WE HAVE ROOM for more people to come to one of our services.  This means we need to continue to embrace the value that "Found People Find People" and do all we can to get as many people to church as possible.  THIS COMING SUNDAY would be a GREAT Sunday to bring someone to church!

#4 - Yesterday we announced we are launching a Boiling Springs campus in the spring of next year...yep, we're going to do whatever it takes to reach 100,000 in this state--because EVERY number has a name, every name has a story and every story matters to God.

#5 - Yesterday we dealt with the subject of interracial dating and marriage...it was TENSE, but tension is good when there are issues in the heart that need to be addressed.  After one of the morning services on one of our campuses an older white man approached a young black girl (whom he did not know), hugged her and apologized to her for being a racists all his life.  She told him that if God could forgive him she could to!  Yep--growing people really do change!  I LOVE MY CHURCH!
