I could not sleep last night—literally—I was awake at 2:00 this morning and I thought my heart was about to beat out of my chest.
God is so good…and He is doing SO MUCH in our church. Sometimes I let the critics get to me—but last night I had the privilege of hearing about…
- A couple that began coming to our church during the “Lord of the Rings” series last year—and as a result their marriage was saved.
- A family that started coming to NewSpring because some random person in a parking lot invited them—and as a result the father received Christ!
- A dad that said he hated church—but his teenage daughter asked him to come to church with her—and since coming to NewSpring God has totally changed his life.
It hit me at 2:00 this morning—LIVES ARE BEING CHANGED AND IMPACTED FOR JESUS CHRIST—and that is all I ever want to see.
And then, after thinking about what God HAS done…I began to reflect on what He is about to do…and I literally thought I was going to have to go outside and run laps around the house!
This is THE most excited I have ever been about where our church is and what is getting ready to happen! In fact, I am praying that this Sunday we see hundreds of people receive Christ. (NewSpringers, remember, THIS IS HOW we can all participate.)
I love serving as the pastor of this church! We are FAR from perfect—but every single day we take one more step towards being the church God has called us to be. This is a journey—and I am so glad that He is allowing me to be a part of this!!!
