7 Reasons People Do Not Give In Church

As I have studied people and church culture (and asked TONS of questions) - I've discovered seven reasons why people do not give today in the church  

1 - They don't think about it!  

Often times we make the mistake as leaders of thinking everyone thinks about what we think about. 

2 - They do not think they CAN

As many are in debt up to their eyeballs!

3 - They don't know WHY they should give

When there is no vision in association with giving - the hearts of people are simply not moved.  

4 - They don't know how

Hardly anyone has a checkbook or cash anymore – so they must be told HOW to give (which means EASY ONLINE GIVING is essential!)

5 - They don't see a difference being made in their giving.

Which is why a 30 second "thank you" every 2-3 weeks is essential to keep what is happening in front of everyone. 

6 - They do not understand the blessings associated with it

The Bible says too much about blessings associated with giving for us to ignore it! 

7 - Pastors are afraid to talk about it

I get it – was scared out of my mind!!!  Had to overcome several fears in order to begin to preach on giving with confidence.
