What an amazing day…a few thoughts if I may…
- We saw around 50 people receive Christ today at NewSpring Church…that NEVER gets old!
- The way God uses a church to change a community is one life at a time…and today we saw RADICAL change take place in two mother’s lives!
- I am trying to think about how in the world to put into words what God allowed our church to do…and I don’t have them. You really just need to watch the video when it comes out on our website on Tuesday.
- (Yes, we were able for the third year in a row to give a house away to a single mom…but that is just a part of one story. Seriously…I KNEW what was coming and was messed up every time I watched the video!!!)
- God allowed our church to give extravagantly…which is EXACTLY what He did for us when He gave His Son, Jesus, for us on the cross!
- We didn’t do what we did today because we have a great church…but because we serve a great and awesome God!!!
- One day the name “NewSpring” will fade away…but the name of JESUS will endure forever!
- God has called us to LIVE the Gospel…which means being willing to love, give and serve extravagently! (God doesn’t do things halfway…His followers shouldn’t either!!!)
- We have BAPTISM THIS SATURDAY at each campus…tailgating begins at 3:00 and the baptism will take place at 5:00. NewSpring…let’s go ALL OUT and celebrate this LIKE CRAZY!
- BTW…if you received Christ in this series you need to be baptized. DO IT this Saturday…you can go to this site and sign up. Baptism, according to the Scriptures, is our NEXT STEP when we receive Christ.
- Parents…the Gauntlet is going to be AMAZING this year!!! Your teenager WANTS to go…and you want them out of the house for a week!!! So go here for more details, to download an application and to watch videos from previous years.
- BTW…parents…there is NO WAY to put into words what I have seen Jesus do in the lives of teenagers while we are on this trip! It REALLY is priceless!
- God is doing some crazy, ridiculous things right now…and words can’t describe how excited I am about this next year of ministry heading our way!
- I looked through every coaching network application today…and WOW…some REALLY amazing leaders have signed up for this thing. I am putting together a team to help me select the people because…there is NO WAY I can do it alone.
That’s about it for now…got an incredibly crazy week ahead of me…but I’ve discovered that when things get predictable that means God usually isn’t involved!!!
