Five Things I Want Everyone At NewSpring To Celebrate!
Hey NewSpring, this past fall we launched our STEP UP Campaign, a 28 month financial initiative focused on starting new campuses and providing permanent facilities for existing portable campuses all over the state of South Carolina…
And it’s time to CELEBRATE!!!
Here are FIVE things that have happened in just a short amount of time since the launch of this campaign last year…
#1 – We opened a portable campus in Boiling Springs that is averaging over 1,400 people every Sunday.
#2 – We launched a permanent campus in Spartanburg that opened yesterday with 4,575 people and SIX SALVATIONS!!!. (We had 907 on the first Sunday we launched in Spartanburg almost two years ago.)
#3 – We purchased 15 acres in Florence and are hoping to begin construction on a permanent facility there within the next year.
#4 – We purchased 62 acres in Clemson (the old Milliken mill site) and are hopefully going to be able to launch our permanent campus on that location in the Fall of 2015.
#5 – We purchased 12 acres in Greer and are planning on construction beginning there within the next year or two.
Since beginning of the campaign, we have received almost $9 million of the $40 million pledged. Creating new campuses is expanding the one thing (the Church) that will last forever...and is the greatest investment you could ever make!!
But there is still so much more to do!
Our biggest limitation in reaching 100,000 people for Christ is simply providing them a place to sit on Sunday.
We want to create seats exactly like the one you sat in yesterday for everyone in South Carolina!! There are more cities we want to go to. There are buildings we want to build on the land that we have purchased.
And I just want to say a huge “THANK YOU” for everyone who has given to STEP UP! As we continue to fulfill our pledges I am absolutely confident we will discover that we cannot out give God…and that 100,000 is actually just a first step in what God has in store for our church.
And for those who made a pledge but have been unable so far to begin to fulfill it—it’s not too late!!! This thing is just getting started, we’re not even a year in and look at all that has happened!!
