Super Cool People of the Week—It Could Be YOU!

Nov 4, 2005

I mentioned in yesterday’s post about the laughter in the office—the fun that is had by all. We do our best to create an environment of excitement and excellence in all that we do. (WOW—that was aliterated quite well!)

Saying all that to say this—we have three positions open at NewSpring and are looking for some awesome people to come in and fill them. Let me describe them for you.

The first position is a full time assistant for the youth ministry (and the youth pastor.) The first qualification is that a person must be in love with Jesus (that goes for all three that will be listed) AND they must love teenagers! LOVE THEM!!! This job is not limited to a desk—but rather will require some interaction with teens…so please make sure you LOVE them and not merely TOLERATE them if applying. ALSO the person applying for this position must be highly organized, have computer skills, and be able to communicate with parents in a professional manner. This position is typically a Sunday through Thursday position…and will require work on Wednesday nights as well.

The second position is a part time financial secretary. It seems that this job is shaping up to be a 20-25 hour a week job that will mostly take place on Sunday’s, Monday’s and Tuesday’s. This person will need to be familiar with accounting and bookkeeping, have computer knowledge, especially regarding the internet, and have a pleasant attitude. This position will be responsible for learning how to manage the office from a financial point of view—AND this position will also be responsible for product sales and development as well.

The third position is a part time receptionist. The hours for this job will be Monday through Thursday from 1-5 in the afternoon. (Our office is closed on Friday.) The responsibilities for this job would include, but are not limited to, answering the phones in a professional manner, greeting people when they enter our offices—with a SMILE! :-) Basic date entry and a few other things as well.

If you are interested in any of these areas then please e-mail your resume to my blog. (Address is in the sidebar.) We will begin looking through these on Monday. I look forward to hearing from you guys.

AND—in a totally unrelated deal—the article in the Anderson Independent yesterday on Tommy Bowden was awesome (LINK)—he’s a man of God. I have met him personally and when he found out I was a pastor he pointed to a worn out Bible on his desk and said, “Boy—do you preach that book?”

“Yes sir,” I replied.

“You’d better,” he said, “I don’t care what kind of church you have—if you don’t preach that book it isn’t going to be any good!”

I COMPLETELY AGREE! GO TIGERS!
