WOW! Double wow! A few thoughts before heading to bed (actually MIGHT fall asleep before I finish this post!)
- Saw over 150 people receive Jesus today…that would make it around 475 over the past two weeks…AMAZING!
- Next week we are dealing with Matthew 7:21-23…in my opinion some of the scariest verses in the Bible.
- You cannot meet Jesus and stay the same!
- When in the HECK did being a follower of Christ become about wearing suits/dresses, not having piercings and tattoos and listening to only certain kinds of music?
- In the Scriptures people who were followers of Jesus were real…they were not indifferent towards the Gospel…they were passionate about it!
- “Revelation Song” is AMAZING!!!
- The 6:00 service was unbelievable…seriously, the people who prayed out loud to receive Christ were LOUD! It messed me up!
- Matthew 7:19 should be taken seriously…Jesus ain’t playin!
- I believe the most untapped harvest for the Gospel are the people who come to church every week and strive to “do the right things” but have never really trusted Christ for their salvation!!!
- I really felt led today to teach on getting past your past…reality is that if you don’t let your past die…it won’t let you live.
- In Christ we have power over the pain of our past!!!!
- I’m already looking forward to next week!
- Stood in the lobby today between the first and second services and had people who received Christ come up and speak with me…and it just freakin PUMPED me up!
- I love our church…I love what Jesus is doing right now…can’t wait to see what happens next!!!
- Hebrews 13:17 tells me that as a pastor I will stand before God and be held accountable one day…I take that verse EXTREMELY seriously…that is why I feel compelled to preach the Gospel like I have.
- DON’T MISS NEXT SUNDAY…and do whatever it takes to bring someone who doesn’t know Christ!
- Tailgate Baptism on May 16th—YES!!!
- Starting a new blog series tomorrow…going to journey through the book of Acts…can’t wait!!!
A few more things…
- Could use your prayers this week…traveling to the West Coast to speak at Catalyst West Coast. BLOWN AWAY that I have been given the opportunity to speak…and when I look at the list of speakers the only thing I keep thinking is, “What in the heck am I doing there?”
- I think they MAY have an interpreter for my session that speaks “redneck!”
- REALLY going to have to fight NOT having sweet tea for several days!!!
- ‘Cretia is going with me on this trip…Charisse is staying with some friends! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
