Here are a few thoughts before going to bed…
- We had our highest attendance ever at our Greenville location! Thank You Jesus!
- I LOVE being a part of a church that MOVES when challenged to step out and reach people who don’t know Christ.
- THANK YOU to all who attended our 4:15 service at the Anderson campus today…we had over 900 people there!
- I think that next Sunday is going to be AMAZING!
- As I said today, Jesus did not die on a cross so that we could establish really awesome Bible study groups…He died because He knew that He was the ONLY WAY for us to be made right with God!
- I feel the church needs to be obsessed with reaching out to people far from God because…well…Jesus Himself was obsessed with it! (See Luke 19:10!)
- Yes, we should PRAY for people to come to know Christ…but should not use prayer as an excuse for inactivity! “I’m praying about it” is OFTEN used as a cop out rather than an honest confession!
- I think if we “pray about something” long enough then we will be willing to do whatever it takes in order to listen and respond to God when He shows us how we can take an active role in being an answer to that prayer.
- Our volunteers are AWESOME!
- God is REALLY stretching me right now as far as a series idea for next year…we’ve never attempted something like I am dreaming about, EVER…I think we may go for it.
- Really glad that Clemson won this weekend and South Carolina lost…that makes me happy!
- The first service was SO hard to preach today…felt like I was going to vomit the entire time. First time in the nearly nine year history of NewSpring Church that I can ever remember feeling sick on a Sunday.
- Once again, thanks to everyone who made it out at 4:15…because you were willing to re-adjust your schedule…everyone who attended our Anderson campus today had a seat.
- AND…KEEP IT UP for at least three more weeks! :-) Seriously, we will be SLAMMED next weekend! AND for the ones who may can only come to the 4:15 for one weekend this month…this coming Sunday (14th) would be the best one!!!
That’s it…I’m tired and headed to bed!
