Questions That Have Altered My Life

Oct 12, 2005

#1 - “Excuse me sir, did you know how fast you were going?” This one needs no explanation!

#2 - “Would you like an apple pie with that?” I remember this happening to me at McDonalds, I fell to the power of suggestive sales. I actually thought they were giving me the apple pie—DUH! I ate it—it wasn’t that good…and now I am a ROCK when they ask that question…I get the sundae instead!

#3 - “Do you KNOW where you will spend eternity?” My answer is yes…I KNOW, Scripture says we can know! I wrestled with this one—for a long time I thought I was going to heaven…but on May 27, 1990 I nailed it down!

#4 - “What would you do in life if money were no object?” This question was asked of me by Dale Sellers in August of 1999…my answer was that I would start a church…and he told me that I should—and here we are six years later!

#5 - “That sermon that you preached—did you really mean that?” This question was asked of me one Sunday after a sermon I had preached on the vision of our church by a young lady in our lobby. It was then that I realized that people hear what they want to hear and see what they want to see.

What are some questions that have altered your life? Write me—I will post the good ones later on today.
