I always say that it takes all of us working together to make things happen. I often talk about the wonderful staff God has put in place here to pull things off from week to week. HOWEVER, I can’t say enough about our volunteers. YOU GUYS ROCK!!! Check out this e-mail I received from a first time visitor this past week.
Our experience at NewSpring went something like this: we arrived at your church on Sunday morning, it was raining, a gentleman was at our car even before we got out. He held an umbrella over our heads and greeted us. I mentioned that my children were nervous about going to children’s church this being our first time here. This must have been an Angel straight from Heaven. As my children got out of the car there was fear on there faces, this gentleman standing in the rain holding an umbrella got down to their level, with excitement in his eyes told my children exactly what they would experience when they walked through the church doors. By the time he let us off at the front door they had caught on to his excitement. After service we picked them up and on our way out that same man stopped us and asked each of our children how there time had been. We have visited alot of churches and have not felt as welcome as we did at NewSpring. Later our ten year old son said he wanted to leave family and friends and move to Anderson. We asked why, he said ” I want to go to that church every Sunday.” Could you thank the people at NewSpring for making our visit the most awesome experience we have ever had? The Schmucker Family
Once again—to everyone who volunteers…YOU MATTER, WHAT YOU DO MATTERS…and lives ARE being changed. Keep up the great work—and all of us working together will continue to see lives changed all over the upstate.
