Leadership

Michigan

Dec 6, 2006

I am a FREAK about leadership! I am the first to admit that I am so over my head…and most days I feel WAY under qualified to do what I do. SO…I try as hard as I can to learn all that I can.  AND this takes effort…
SO…I am sitting in a hotel right now in South Haven, Michigan. Tonight I sat at a roundtable with pastors from all across the US…and the session was led by Billy Hybels…in my mind one of the most remarkable leaders on the planet.

Tomorrow we will be in a meeting from 9:00 until 4:00 discussing the subject of leadership, integrity, character, taking care of yourself physically…and most of all…how leadership can be maximized so that more and more people can meet Jesus Christ through the local church!!!

Pray for me—that God will allow me to gain more and more wisdom. And pray we (Jason Wilson, our Executive Pastor is traveling with me) have a safe trip home. Seriously—right now it is literally snowing sideways outside…and tomorrow the HIGH here is supposed to be 22 degrees…and they are expecting between 5-8 inches of snow!!!

NOW…this type of weather would cause mass hysteria in Anderson…bread & milk would be bought…schools would the closed…the National Guard would be called in…well, you get the picture.

BUT…up here…no one is worried. It’s not really that big of a deal! SO…pray for Jason & I as we try to adjust to all this snowy weather…and as we have to get on a plane tomorrow evening and fly home.

Whew, this is IT for my traveling for a while. Did I mention that I hate to travel? Anderson, SC is the best place on the planet.

One more thing…I saw the video today that our media team has prepared for Sunday! WOW…I have said this all week long—but don’t miss this Sunday!!! Get there early!
