OK…my name is Perry…I am your friend…and I want to help you out.
Let me begin by saying that I am in love with Jesus…my wife…and the church—in that order. I want nothing more than to make the name of Jesus famous…and I believe that doing so takes work. (I say this because this point has been disputed in blog world. Guys…come on, seriously—the disciples didn’t sit around on their butts and do nothing…neither should the church.)
Anyway…
We receive a ton of encouragement at this blog…and for that I am grateful. Day after day we receive e-mails about how Jesus has changed someone’s life through this church. That FIRES ME UP…and makes all of the other crap we deal with here at perrynoble.com worth it.
Speaking of the other “crap” that we deal with…I want to address it…and as a friend. :-)
If you don’t like me…OR if you do not like NewSpring…OR if you do not like this blog…then AWESOME. That is your right! BUT…IF all three of the previous mentioned about you are true…then please, for your own sanity…STOP READING THIS BLOG!
No, really, it’s for your own good! You’ve got to stop doing this to yourself…it’s just not healthy. And for those who do not like the messages we preach here at NewSpring…please…stop downloading them, listening to them…and then e-mailing us everything that was wrong about them. (Yes, there are some people who do this…that probably need a job!) :-)
As I said…it’s your right not to like me. Heck…I don’t even like me a lot of the time…so I can’t blame you there. BUT…seriously…STOP COMING HERE if you hate our philosophy so much. BECAUSE…your e-mails telling us how wrong we are…OR that I am going to hell…well, we just ignore them. No, really—we hit delete almost immediately…because we could really care less what you think. :-) Negative, critical people have NEVER came up with a positive solution for anything.
AND…please understand…we don’t go and read your blogs. NO, really—we don’t. We don’t have time. You see…there are people in this community that need Jesus…and we can either fight with you or reach them…and so…you lose! It’s really that simple.
Let me put it this way…if I go to a restaurant & do not like the food…I don’t keep going back to that same restaurant over and over and then going out and telling people how bad it was. “I’ve eaten there five times this week…and it was horrible every time!” My friends would say, “Hey…if you don’t like it—why do you keep going back?”
Great question!
SO…if you don’t like what’s going on here…I release you. You are free—you don’t have to come back to this site anymore.
Because…you see…we feel like what we are doing is exactly what God has called us to do. We are seeing people meet Jesus Christ week after week. We are seeing marriages healed…people get out of debt…addicts set free…former atheists turn into evangelists…in other words…what we are doing is working.
AND…if we are wrong then guess what…one day it will all fall apart…and if that happens you are more than free to come and celebrate our demise. BUT…until that time I would recommend reading Acts 5:33-39.
