Ok, no fluff here…we want an IT director here at NewSpring Church…and we want them yesterday!!!
Let me be VERY clear as to what we are looking for…
I DO NOT want someone who knows “a little something about computers!” I already know how to reboot my machine…and I know all about “control, alt, delete!”
I DO NOT want someone who thinks that just because they know how to use EXCEL and also happen to know how to make a few programs sync together that they are a computer expert.
I DO NOT want someone who believe that the worlds problems would be solved if everyone had a MAC!
What I am looking for is…
A LEADER!
You see, when it comes to reaching this world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ…we’re not playing games here at NewSpring!
It is our goal to see over 100k people receive Christ in the next 15-20 years.
AND…I believe that one of the KEY factors in this happening is our ability to use and leverage technology!
Therefore, I am looking for someone who feels CALLED to reach the world for Jesus…and has been GIFTED to LOVE HIM, lead people, develop systems AND thinks WAY ahead.
We are incredibly dedicated to multi-site campuses…and are getting ready to take quite a few risks and experiment with some technology that just hasn’t been used very much.
We are dedicated to establishing an internet campus that impacts people across the globe!
We are dedicated to trying new things…and failing over and over again, knowing that in this process if we discover ONE new way to reach people for Christ then every “failure” was worth it.
Once again, let me say this…PLEASE DO NOT send us your resume if you “tinker around” with computers…or you are a customer service rep who knows how to click a mouse.
I want a leader…an innovator…a forward thinker…someone who REALLY wants to see the message of Jesus Christ impact the would through technology!
Oh yeah, one more thing…I do believe in paying someone very fairly…but, just being honest, you will probably not get rich pursuing this position. In fact, I already KNOW what you are worth in the “secular world” as some call it. And, while I do promise you will not starve, this is not a six figure job. I wanted to say that because I understand that it will stop a lot of people who are considering this.
