WOW…the e-mails have POURED in this week regarding the sermon from Sunday AND yesterday’s post. I can tell that we have hit a nerve here at NewSpring. (Don’t get me wrong…the overwhelming majority of those who have written in have been VERY encouraging!!!)
This Sunday the I will be teaching on how to have an affair, and yes, this will come straight out of the Bible! I promise it will be very tense…and that I will not be dodging any tough issues. I would get there early this week as the service will not be arranged in a way to where you can walk in late and still get the message! :-)
This series has been one of our best ever…and trust me, if you thought the first two weeks were good—hold onto your hat!!! AND…don’t forget…INVITE, INVITE, INVITE...trust me, church will be ANYTHING except for boring this Sunday!
Tonight I get to spend a little time with some of the most awesome people on the planet…the volunteers that make NewSpring work. We are bringing our superstars in for a banquet where the staff will serve them…and then a service where…let’s just say you will be encouraged and inspired with what has been prepared for you!!!
I am looking forward to the football game tomorrow…let me be a little more clear—the CLEMSON football game. If you are there then look for me…I will be wearing an orange shirt with some white on it.
Bob asked me to do an interview for his momentum blog about what it was like being a portable church. I really enjoyed answering these questions…it brought back a lot of memories…GOOD ONES! You can read it here.
And finally…I will close out the week with one of the most disturbing things I have ever witnessed. We all hear from time to time that men are stupid…and I hate hearing things like that; however, I believe that there are some men out there who are determined to prove that statement to be true.
I had a friend send me something this week that I watched…at least twice. I could not believe my eyes…it seems that the stupidity of men knows no bounds. There are truly some things I do not understand in life—and this would be one of them!!!
Warning…if you are a man & decide to watch this…it will bring about some intense pain into your life. If you are a woman you will watch this and not understand. I leave you with this link...I hope I did not ruin anyone’s weekend!!!
