Sunday Night Reflections

Apr 26, 2009

A few thoughts before heading to bed…

  • Today we saw around 175 people pray to receive Christ at our campuses!  (That is over 600 in the past three weeks…thank YOU JESUS!!!)
  • Today we dealt with what Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23.
  • Jesus preached the Gospel to a religious crowd…one of the main problems in churches today is people show up every week who know all about Jesus…but have never confessed Him as Lord and received Him into their lives!
  • God stretched the heck out of me at Catalyst West Coast…AND confirmed a few things in me that I’ve been feeling for quite some time…saying that…
  • I BELIEVE we are getting ready to launch some incredible things over the next six months…and in doing so we are going to see Ephesians 3:20 type stuff happen right in front of our eyes!
  • Today wasn’t comfortable…and as I said, “One of the biggest mistakes anyone could ever make about me is to think I actually give a crap about someone’s level of comfortability!”
  • The church has gotten obsessed with comfortability…and the Gospel has been diluted in the process!!!
  • Yes, I really did get to meet Jeff Foxworthy last year…and no…he doesn’t have any idea who I am!
  • Yes, I really did have a pair of Superman underoos!!!
  • I saw on twitter today where a lady drove a group of teenage girls two hours just to attend a NewSpring service!  WOW…that blows my mind!!!
  • Of all of the things that amaze me about Jesus…the fact that He is allowing me to be a part of this absolutely blows my mind!
  • PRAYING that I actually sleep tonight…I NEED IT BAD!!!
  • I’m hungry…like REALLY hungry…feel like I need to eat something but don’t want to right before I go to bed!!!
  • I am LOVING the NBA playoffs…the guys actually play and it is exciting to watch.
  • The Lord has brought some MAJOR opportunities my way lately…and over the next two months I am going to have the opportunity to meet with/be mentored by some amazing men of God!
  • (By the way…a leader is a learner…and is always willing to do whatever it takes to learn all that he can!  When you stop learning…you stop leading!)
  • Read Romans 12:8 this morning…that verse always fires me up!

That’s it…time for bed…good night!
