Here are a few thoughts from the day…in two parts if you will—here goes Part One…
- If we will take the concept of THREE presented at NewSpring Church today and OWN IT…we will reach the entire state of South Carolina with the Gospel in around six years…THAT’S AMAZING.
- Maybe it’s just me….but the thought of reaching this state and eventually the world for Jesus absolutely PUMPS ME UP!
- Random fact - I want an iphone…and I read this week that they are going to be able to get them to sync with Microsoft Exchange soon…I have NO IDEA what in the heck that means, but computer
geekspeople tell me that’s a good thing. - The stories of changed lives today at our church were simply amazing. To me there is NOTHING like hearing a story of someone who was far from God being invited to church and ultimately meeting Jesus there!
- Springers—seriously, make sure to INVITE THREE PEOPLE to church on Easter...do whatever it takes to get them here.
- The song “It Is Well” ALWAYS rocks my world…Lee and Justin did an incredible job on it.
- There were lines of people getting their tickets for the Easter services…if you haven’t gotten yours yet then you can go here and get them. It’s going to be fun!
- I hope everyone enjoyed their three musketeers bar! :-)
- Seeing the candles being lit during the third service was amazing…it was amazing how quickly the place “seemed to catch on fire.” I really felt God speak to my heart during that time and say, “Get ready, something’s coming!”
- Nearly 2,000 people are rolling into NewSpring Church this Thursday for Unleash...DANG! Believe it or not we are already discussing options for next years conference.
- Our Greenville campus launch date is getting closer and closer. Greenville peeps—hold on, we will announce a date soon…I promise. In the meantime you can check out Howard’s blog here. (He is our Greenville campus pastor.)
Now for part two…I haven’t been away from NewSpring in a while on a Sunday…so, I took off with a crew up to Steven’s church this morning and really enjoyed my worship experience there. A few thoughts…
- They are portable and do it with excellence…church planters that say you can’t grow in a portable location should be punched…in the throat! (They have grown to over 4,000)
- The worship team did an awesome job…the band members had energy and passion which definitely transfered into the crowd.
- Steven Furtick is one of the best preachers in America. Today he BROUGHT IT…his comments about Oprah were especially enlightening. :-)
- After the service Steven and a crew of us went to PF Changs…and HE PAID, NOW I KNOW HE LOVES JESUS!!!
- The crew from Elevation is bringing 150 people for Unleash…that’s the largest crowd I believe. Trust me, you will know who they are…
