I’m not sure I have the words…but I will try…
- From time to time you see God do something and just sit there and say, “Who am I that YOU would allow me to be a part of this?” Today was THAT day for me…SO blessed to be a small part of what HE is doing. Can’t get I Chronicles 17:16 out of my mind!!!
- We’re coming up on our 10 year anniversary…and I STILL remember having 75 people on a Sunday night, taking up a $500 offering and being able to stuff everything we owned in a little closet…WOW…we’re seeing Matthew 16:18 happen right in front of our eyes!
- We saw over 50 people confess Jesus Christ as Lord…that NEVER gets old.
- We saw a record attendance at our campuses…a total of 11,067 people came to NewSpring Church today…and that isn’t including the web services!
- For those wondering if I am boasting…ABSOLUTELY! I am boasting in what the LORD has done…there is NO WAY this could have EVER happened apart from HIS work…He has done great things and I will NOT BE SILENT about the work HE IS DOING!!!
- If you are attending the Anderson campus…we KNOW it was crazy between the 9:15 and 11:15 services…thanks for your patience and know that we are trying to work out how to make traffic flow smoother…we’ve NEVER had this many people showing up at church!!!
- SO PROUD of all of our campuses…you guys took the challenge to invite people seriously…keep it up…and KEEP BEGGING GOD to do what only HE can do!
- Seeing people pray for other people today during the service was amazing!!! When the body ministers to the body—THAT’S CHURCH!
- The lie we talked about today is, “God Will Never Put More On You Than You Can Handle.” (BTW..I Corinthians 10:13 does NOT say that He will not put more on us that we can handle…it says we won’t be tempted beyond what we can bear…HUGE difference!)
- Watching everyone’s reaction during the snake video was priceless…sorry if you may have messed your pants!!! (I will post it on my blog later this week.)
- God will often let more be put on us than we can handle so that we will stop boasting in our own strength and become desperate for His!
- Letting “all hell break loose” in our lives is the only way God can get our attention at times.
- Even though you are surprised by the problems you are facing…God is NOT…and HE’S got this!!!
- Don’t EVER give up on the God who hasn’t given up on you!
- Don’t waste your pain…if you are being overwhelmed…LISTEN to what God is trying to say.
- Worshippers ARE warriors…when we praise God DESPITE our circumstances…chains get broken and the enemy has to run!
- Things that are over our head are under His feet! HE REIGNS!
- My circumstances do not alter HIS character…HE’S STILL GOD!
- The 6:00 service at the Anderson campus MIGHT HAVE BEEN the loudest service we’ve ever had…especially with the way we ended!
- REALLY excited about next week already…begging God to do HUGE things!
- Also really excited about getting to particpate in a roundtable with Brian Houston in Miami on Thursday and Friday…and then seeing Hillsong United in concert on Friday night.
- I looked on their website…there is a FOGO in Miami! :-)
That’s about it…really need to get some sleep but I am having a hard time winding down…I seriously feel like I could go run 15 miles!
NewSpring Church…let me ask two things of you before I complete this post…
#1 - DO NOT THINK THAT THIS IS NORMAL! I’ve only been a Christian for around 20 years…but I’ve never seen God do ANYTHING like HE is doing right now. We can’t ever get caught up in thinking this is ordinary! I’m praying for us to always be in AWE of what HE is doing!
#2 - BEG GOD FOR MORE! I’m asking you now, more than ever before, to pray for our services (that His presence would be so obvious) and our staff (that His protection would cover us!) We serve an unlimited God…and I really do believe the best is yet to come!
