How Do I Alleviate Financial Stress From My Life As A Leader

Not a single one of us woke up this morning and prayed for more stress in our ministry.  

However, it seems more often than not stress and ministry seem to hold hands quite often...especially in the area of money.   

Which is why, when it comes to raising resources in the church we need more than prayer, we need a plan!  

You can absolutely build a generous culture in your church.  Trust me - I started a church in the year 2000 with no money...and worse than that, no PLAN to raise money--and yet in a little over 16 years we were able to go from a $48,000 budget to a $63 million dollar budget, start over 17 campuses and reach over 50,000 people for Christ...

...and if I can do it, you can too!

To me one of the most difficult passages of Scripture to believe is when Moses had to preach his "stop giving" sermon in Exodus.  
This passage had me perplexed for years as I could not see why in the world people were so generous...and when I discovered the principle and implemented it - it really did take generous giving at the church I was leading to the next level.

For far too long I allowed the "oh crap" strategy to dictate the direction of my ministry.  
You know, you realize something is wrong, say "oh crap" and then whip up a message (usually LOADED with guilt) aimed at "motivating" people to action.  

This is effective...for about two weeks, and things go back to normal (and in some cases, worse!)  

The "oh crap" strategy is not designed to maximize ministry effectiveness.  

Which is why, over time, I developed systems and strategies for nearly every area of ministry, but especially for the area of giving...
...and I sincerely believe the strategy I developed will work in any church of any size.
