Howdy NewSpring Church, eight things I wanted to share with you today…
#1 - One of the things I feel that the Lord has placed in my heart for this coming year is for our church to CELEBRATE more! With that in mind…
- We saw 159 people go public with their faith and take their next step through baptism on Sunday!
- We had our largest non-holiday/special event crowd EVER this past Sunday with nearly 16,700 people!
- Our Columbia campus had over 1,800 people, setting an attendance record
- Our Charleston campus had nearly 870 people, setting an attendance record.
- God moved powerfully in every service at every campus!
Church, we should NEVER be fearful in regards to celebrating what God is doing! (AND…if you are a church leader then PLEASE understand that we’ve GOT TO STOP allowing the world to out-celebrate us!!! A victory in football or an award at the Grammy’s is temporary in regards to lives being changed and people repenting of sin!!! CELEBRATE!!! I wrote more about that here in case you are interested.)
#2 - Remember the words of Jesus in John 16:33! He overcame, He was NOT overwhelmed. And…if you are a Christian then CHRIST LIVES IN YOU…which means our identity is NOT found in who we were and what we used to do but rather in the fact that we have been purchased and set free from sin!!!
#3 - God is GREAT! God is ABLE! AND…our focus needs to be on our Savior and not our situation! If we focus on our situation it will lead to anxiety, fear, worry and depression. If we focus on our Savior it leads to peace (John 14:27), hope, joy and victory (I Corinthians 15:57!)

#5 - I mentioned my trip to Israel this past Sunday and the unbelievable experience I had while at the empty tomb. There is STILL ROOM if you are interested in going with us on this trip…more information can be found here. It’s going to be amazing!!! (AND…this trip is open to anyone, you do not have to be an owner at NewSpring, OR even attend here!)
#6 - Gauntlet sign ups are increasing…parents, remember, there’s a price break if you do it before March 31…and it WILL FILL UP this year and so the sooner you get your child signed up the more certain you will be that they have a spot! (Go for it right here!)
#7 - The marriage conference that will be hosted here by Mark and Grace Driscoll is almost 70% full…so if you want to get registered (HERE) you better do it asap. It’s going to be one of THE BEST things you could ever do for your marriage (or…singles…your future marriage.)
#8 - I love my church! :-) Can’t wait to see what happens next!
