A Letter From Pastor P To NewSpring Church

Sep 6, 2011

Howdy NewSpring Church, seven things I want you to share with you today…

#1 - The past two Sunday’s have been both awkward and amazing in our church as we’ve dealt with the subject of sexual immorality IN the church.  (For too long the church has been obsessed with the behavior of those outside of the church rather than being willing to clean up their own mess!)  It’s been incredible to see people receive Christ AND also people become more obsessed with repentance than their reputation and actually ask for help!  (And remember that we’re going to memorize Psalm 25:15 this week!)

AND…by the way…it’s NOT too late to ask for help!!  Give us a call or shoot us an email if there is ANYTHING we can do to help you break free of what is holding you captive!)

#2 - We have three more weeks in the Revelation series…and we’ve made a commitment to finish this series stronger than we started it.  I can promise you that the next three weeks in our church are going to be both historic and unforgettable…and, as always, I am asking you to do everything possible to bring people THIS Sunday who do not go to church and/or do not have a relationship with Jesus!

#3 - I posted this last week…but once again if you are wanting more sermons on dating and marriage our communications area created this site where we have hours and hours of teaching…check it out.

#4 - Pray for our church this week as we will be hosting NLC…a conference for church leaders...and we literally have over 2,000 people coming to this conference from all over the world.  It is going to be an amazing day and…for those who are volunteering I want to say “thanks” in advance, Jesus is going to use you THIS THURSDAY to have an impact on people in ways you would never even imagine.

#5 - Go ahead and get ready for Sunday, September 18…on that day we’re asking everyone to wear their favorite college football atire.  Trust me…it does has something to do with the sermon.

#6 - I read Acts 19:10 yesterday and could not help but think about the vision the Lord has given our church to reach 100,000 people in this state for Christ.  I’m pumped…and I am believing that it is going to happen.  I know many of you are excited as well as you know that in that 100,000 is your father or mother, son or daughter, brother or sister, family member, co-worker and best friend.  EVERY NUMBER HAS A NAME…and God’s call on our church is to make a difference.

#7 - Be praying for an upcoming mission trip we are taking.  I will be leading a crew at the end of this month to Estonia to see our friend Jakob and for a time of training church leaders as well as an evangelism rally where I will be sharing the Gospel.  Also on this trip we will be spending some time in the UK where we will be meeting with church leaders, and I will have the honor to speak at Freedom Church.  I will be sharing more about this on Sunday, Sept 18…but I can say this…it’s going to be AWESOME!!!
