Ten Questions Every Volunteer Ministry Must Answer

Sep 8, 2014

1 – How do you get people to serve?

2 – How do you recruit people?

3 – How do you identify volunteer leaders?

4 – How do you prevent burnout?

5 – How do you train volunteers?

6 – How do you communicate to volunteers?

7 – How do you do volunteer appreciation?

8 – How long do you ask them to commit to serving?

9 – How do you lead volunteers/what is your leadership structure?

10 – What can only a staff person do and not a volunteer?

These questions are the most frequently asked questions we receive about volunteers from other churches.

And since we know that a church with a healthy volunteer culture will THRIVE, we decided to put together an online conference/event that will answer every single one of these questions, plus an extra thing or two :-).

Join us between October 6th through the 12th for an online event called “Creating A Healthy Volunteer Culture". This entire online conference will be available on demand (for you to access at any time) between October 6th-12th.

There will be four sessions that last around 25-30 minutes a piece.

The first session will be me speaking to volunteers in a talk entitled, “You’re Not Crazy!” (Basically a talk where I encourage volunteers).

Sessions two, three and four will be me walking through the questions listed above and answering them, speaking to both staff members and volunteers in doing so.

The early bird registration for this event is $19.99 per church (whether you have 2 people or 20,000)! The cost WILL increase on September 16th to $29.99, so make sure to register early!

We have talked for a few years about doing a volunteer conference here at NewSpring Church, and there still may be one in the future.

However, since questions about volunteers is the #1 question our NewSpring Network team receives, we decided to go ahead and host this event online right now (which is WAY cheaper for you because it takes out the cost of individual tickets and travel expenses for a conference).

You can watch these videos as an individual, as a leadership team OR you could host some sort of volunteer event and let your volunteers watch the first video (“You’re Not Crazy”) and then follow it up by saying “thank you” to them for all they do.

However you can use these talks during that week is completely up to you.

I whole-heartedly believe that if you begin to use what we will be teaching through in these sessions that your volunteer culture in your church will go to THE NEXT LEVEL.
