It’s late, but I wanted to share a few thoughts before going to bed…
- I thought today was incredible. It was one of the toughest messages I have ever taught (“What Happens When A Good Kid Goes Bad”).
- As always, I thought the band did an excellent job with the music today!
- Lee finished his album this past week and it should be ready for release sometime at the beginning of next year—I can’t wait!
- If you think about it you can pray for my back…it has been hurting for about a week. WOW…everything on me is beginning to hurt—am I getting old?
- This afternoon I laid in the floor with Charisse and watched her roll around and listened to her try to talk…and my heart wrapped tighter and tighter around her finger…I love my little girl.
- I am really looking forward to this Friday night…I get to hang out with the most incredible people on the planet—OUR VOLUNTEERS! I love our annual volunteer appreciation time!!!
- I know Christmas is on the way…but I heard Christmas music on the radio this week and that just isn’t right! I think Christmas music should be illegal until after Thanksgiving…just my opinion!
- Our Christmas services are going to be flat out incredible! Yes, I know I am hyping something on my blog…and I know I say stuff like that all of the time…check back here later on this week for some more thoughts on why I do that! :-)
- Tony had an excellent post here about God working in a church…and how He can use different styles of ministry to reach different types of people…and how we should celebrate this—GREAT READ.
- Clayton had an excellent post here that caused me to stop and do some serious internal investigation…a must read for anyone in the ministry.
- I really want it to snow this winter!!! BUT…I would love for it to be like on a Monday and be all melted by Thursday so that church won’t be impacted—just being honest.
- If you are from a northern state and it does snow—please, stay off the roads! Here in the south we really do think we know how to drive in it!!!
- AND…if it does snow and you do get stuck—just wait, eventually there will be some really large men in a four wheel drive that will come along and will offer to help—let them, they LIVE for days like that!
- I love O’ Charley’s caramel pie!
- Unleash is going to be so much fun—we already have around 550 signed up! Remember…the earlier you sign up the better!
- Clemson has a chance to go to the ACC Championship with a win on Saturday…YES, I will be there, look for me…I will be wearing orange.
- Did Florida REALLY hang 51 on South Carolina? Wait…I think Tim Tebow just scored again!!!
