Seven Answers To Questions You’ve Been Asking About Second Chance Church
Hey everyone, Pastor P here - hope your summer was incredible and you are getting ready for fall (and football season.)
To say I am slightly excited about all that Jesus is doing at Second Chance would be a HUGE understatement.
And...I know many of you are excited as well because of the emails, letters and positive comments on social media. However, I know there are several common questions that are being asked - and so I wanted to take a quick minute to answer the seven most common questions we receive.
#1 - Where Is Second Chance Church Located?
Second Chance Church is located in Anderson, right off of Clemson Boulevard, behind the Verizon store - in the shopping center in front of Lowes and Target. The literal address is: 140 Commons Parkway Anderson SC, 29621
#2 - When Will The Church Be Open (Physical Location)?
As of right now, it looks like sometime in late October or early November. It all depends on the 250k fund as we are trying to make this first move with no debt. So far we've received over $100,000 - and if we continue to be generous in our giving we should be able to pay for all that we need once we actually occupy the building. (Chairs, nursery equipment, children's toys, sound system...)
#3 - What Types Of Ministries Will The Church Have?
Since we are a true church plant, we have to begin small and work towards where we want to be. That being said - the main ministry we will focus on for the foreseeable future is actually having a church service on Sundays. We will have children's ministry (birth through 5th grade) each Sunday as well. As for now - that's it. Yes, we want to one day do small groups and student ministry - however, at this time we are choosing to focus on what we believe we can do well and give it all we've got.
#4 - Where Will Future Campuses Be Located?
Great question - the short answer is, I don't know! One of the things I am deeply hoping people realize is we are a true church plant, not a campus launch. We started Second Chance with nothing, and have had to build little by little to get where we are today. At the last church I served, it took eight years to launch a second campus, and the possibility it could take that long exists at Second Chance as well. We do desire to reach as many people as possible - but we also want to do it in God's ways and in God's time.

#7 - Will You Continue To Stream Your Services Online Once You Have A Physical Location?
Absolutely - I love the fact that online streaming literally allows us to take the gospel to the world. In fact, not only will we continue to stream online--but believe the quality of the service will continue to improve as well. Thank you so much for the way you have supported Second Chance through your prayers and your giving - we believe we are on the brink of an incredible breakthrough...and that Jesus is going to use our church to restore hope and bring healing to so many who thought all was lost.
