My Favorite Movies

Sep 13, 2005

Ok, this isn’t the most spiritual thing in the world…BUT…well, it is my BLOG and today I feel like talking about movies…for some odd reason. So here is a list of my favorite movies of all time.

#10 - “The Lion King.” Yes, that’s right…I LOVE cartoons…and in my opinion this was one of the best Disney movies ever.

#9 - “Remember the Titans.” Made me want to go play football…I actually own this one and watch it while football is not in season…just to keep the football fire going.

#8 - “The Naked Gun.” NO—this is NOT a dirty movie! It is one with Leslie Neilson…and I love his comedy. The first time I saw this I thought they were going to have to carry me out of the theatre I was laughing so hard.

#7 - “Rocky I, II, III, & IV” Don’t roll your eyes…if you are a man then somewhere deep down you loved these movies and probably had aspirations of being a professional boxer…until someone actually hit you & you discovered that it hurt! (I did not include Rocky V for a reason!)

#6 - “Hoosiers” I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I could literally watch it every couple of weeks and not get tired of it…the story is great and it makes me want to play basketball!

#5 - “Monty Python, The Search for the Holy Grail.” Some people do not like this movie…and if this is you then I apologize that you cannot appreciate warped humor. (The more people you watch this movie with…the funnier it is.)

#4 - “Gladiator” What can I say—it’s a man flick! The part when Maximus turns around and tells the Emperor who he is—WOW!

#3 - “The Star Wars Movies” I loved episodes 4-6, but feel compelled to include 1-3…mainly because of the fact that they tell the story. I saw all of these movies in the theatre…and the first two (Episodes IV & V) I watched with my mother…so they hold a special place for me.

#2 - “Braveheart.” What man does not like Braveheart. WOW—after watching that movie I actually considered purchasing a kilt and a horse. And the music was AWESOME!

#1 - “The Passion of the Christ.” I am not going for super spiritual things here…but this movie moved me. Most Christian movies I have seen are downright cheesy…but this one was so accurate, so true to Scripture…it actually made the Bible become more alive to me.

That’s it—what did I leave off the list…I would love to know your thoughts & I will post the top ones according to you guys sometime next week.
