It’s been awhile since I’ve posted what the Lord has been showing me in Scripture—here are some highlights from God’s “rocking Perry’s world” tour out of the book of Isaiah!
- Isaiah 1:18 - This is what Jesus did for me!
- Isaiah 1:19-20 - It really doesn’t get much more simple than this!
- Isaiah 2:2-3 - Looks like God has a plan for LARGE CROWDS of people to come to him!
- Isaiah 2:22 - EVERY leader needs to memorize this verse!
- Isaiah 7:3 - God told Isaiah to take his son along with him while doing ministry…dads, we are called to LEAD our children!
- Isaiah 14:24 - God has a plan, He isn’t trying to figure this thing out!
- Isaiah 22:8-11 - Making plans without God is stupid!
- Isaiah 26:3 - My thought life is SO IMPORTANT!
- Isaiah 27:6 - God wants His people to be fruitful!
- Isaiah 28:29 - YES! I have NEVER made a mistake when I have obeyed God—it’s when I go against Him that I screw up!
- Isaiah 29:13 - God knows who is and who isn’t real!
- Isaiah 29:17 - Another one of those darn verses about the people of God being fruitful!
Those are just a few of the verses that have stood out to me so far—some of the main ideas that God has taught me in Isaiah are…
- He has an opinion on EVERYTHING! He doesn’t just address Israel—but I think He deals with pretty much every nation on earth at the time.
- He is Sovereign! He controls the universe…the reason Babylon and Assyria invaded Israel was because He made them!!!
- God hates pride!
- God desires for NOTHING He created to be stagnant…He desires fruitfulness!
- I cannot mess up by listening and obeying—I just can’t!
- Listening to God is THE MOST important thing I can do for my family and this church!
