Hey NewSpring! I heard this story today and had to share it with you!
In early December, a couple at our Florence Campus found out that their 3-month old son, Tobin, had a destructive case of bacterial meningitis. It was so severe that he had to have emergency brain surgery on Christmas Eve. Pockets of fluid and infection were removed from his brain and Tobin remained at the hospital for several weeks for care. On January 10, Tobin’s mom received this picture message from her friend that had just attended the first service of our Difference Maker series:
The family and so many people at our church were praying for a miracle- believing that God could heal Tobin- as the neurosurgeons and neurologists prepared them for the very real possibility of long term brain defects.
Tobin was scheduled to have an MRI the day his mom received the text message to check the progress of the infection and the surgery. The neurologist was shocked and excited to report that everything came back better than they could have ever imagined!
This particular type of bacteria is known to cause major tissue damage and even holes in the brain, but Tobin’s MRI was clear, and he had no more signs of infection!!!
This story is a MIRACLE! It’s PROOF that prayer is powerful and that God CAN (and wants) to do miracles both in our lives and in our church!
