Exciting Things Heading Our Way…
OK—wow—I’m excited and don’t really know where to begin…so I will jump right in…
Tonight is First Wednesday...don’t forget…6:30...and it is going to be unique. We haven’t had a service like this at NewSpring in about two years. What’s it all about? Come and see!!!
This Sunday I will be back (I can’t wait) and will be talking about what happens when we run out of “spiritual energy.” I will address HOW this happens and what can be done about it…and the band will be doing one of their most popular songs ever! Once again…you have to show up to find out what it’s all about!
Next week I will be at the beach with our incredible youth group. Please pray for us…I don’t take this lightly and I have taken the last three weeks off from speaking at NewSpring so that I could really focus on developing these messages for our young men and women. They deserve my best effort & so I am going all out to make sure they are taught something engaging and relevant.
Sunday, June 18th is Father’s Day…I am going to go ahead and say it…get every man you know to NewSpring that day! I am serious—it is going to be a “different” type of service…and the band is going to be doing a song that they have never done—but I promise you will never forget it. Let me say it again—get men to church that day—trust me!!!
The next Sunday, the 25th, is going to be awesome. I am going to be sharing what I learned in my marathon mess up! I believe the message is going to be challenging. I have found that often times God uses my pain and screw ups to encourage other people—and so that day will simply be sharing from my heart the lessons I learned from this experience.
And then the following Friday (June 30th) our band will be doing a benefit concert at the ampi-theatre (the one at the Civic Center) and all of the proceeds will go towards Crisis Pregnancy Center & AIM. (Yes, there will be a fireworks show!)
And then that Sunday will be our patriotic service at NewSpring…we are actually brainstorming through some options right now—but today I had a conversation with some dudes in the hall that sort of set me on fire and got me really excited about the potential of that day.
And then on July 9th I am going to be sharing a message from my heart that you have probably never heard a pastor share.
All in all—we have a LOT going on! That’s what makes it so exciting around here…we work hard and pray hard to make sure that when you bring your friends and family members that do not know Christ that they enjoy the experience and are challenged with the Gospel.
